St. Louis region residents, who are not planning to leave the area within the next 6 months
All postdoctoral fellows, Ph.D. students, law students, MBA students, pharmacy students, and MD students
Members of the community who would like to apply their biomedical, business, and law training in new ways
There is an application deadline every two months. The next deadline is Saturday November 30th at 5:00pm.
Part I: Online Application
Prior to the application deadline, you must submit an online application and send your resume/CV to the Director of Human Resources at BALSA as directed by the online application form.
Part II: Case Study
If you submit your application on time, you will receive a case study assignment from the Director of Human Resources within 24 hours after the deadline to complete by the following Friday at 5 PM. Late case studies will not be accepted. The case study is designed to take no more than 10 hours of work.
Please be aware of this assignment and apply to the application round in which you have the bandwidth to complete the case study.
Case studies must at minimum meet the following requirements to be considered:
All tasks must be addressed in the final report.
The text should be segmented with titles and should contain no bullet points or numbered items. All tasks must be answered in full sentences and in paragraph form.
There should be no questions simply restated with an answer. All work should be shown and explained.
In-text AMA citations must be included, with a list of references.
Part III: Short in-person interview
After successfully completing the case study, you will be invited to an interview with the director of Human Resources.
Part IV: Two-hour new consultant training
If you are ready to join BALSA, fill out the application and send your resume/CV to the Director of Human Resources at BALSA as directed by the form. Please familiarize yourself with the application process described above. The next deadline is Saturday November 30th, 2019 at 5:00pm.
